Notification on COVID19 dt. 25.03.2020

Overview
Securities and
Exchange Board of India (SEBI) vide notification No. sebi/covid-19/2020/01 issued ated 24.03.2020 and publish dated 25th March 2020, has published SEBI Notification COVID 19.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had
issued an Order No. 40-3/2020-D dated March 24, 2020 in which various guidelines have been issued laying
down the measures to be taken by the ministries and the departments of the Government
of India, the State/ Union Territory Governments and State/Union Territory Authorities
for containment of COVID-19 Epidemic in the country.
The capital and debt market service
as notified by the Securities and Exchange Board of India mentioned below shall be exempted from such closures.
ü Recognised Stock Exchanges,
ü Recognised Clearing Corporations,
ü Depositories,
ü Custodians,
ü Mutua lFunds,
ü Asset Management Companies,
ü Stock Brokers,
ü Trading Members,
ü Clearing Members,
ü Depositories Participants,
ü Registrar and Share Transfer Agents,
ü Credit Rating Agencies,
ü Debenture Trustees,
ü Foreign Portfolio Investors,
ü Portfolio Managers,
ü Alternative Investment Funds,
ü Investment Advisers,
ü Any other entities and regulated activities as notified
by SEBI

Applicability:
They shall
come into force on the date of their publication, i.e. 25th day of
March, 2020.

Time Period of this
Notification:
This Notification with directions for strict implementation, which
shall remain in force in all parts of the country for a period of 21 days,
with effect from March25, 2020.
