COVID-19 _ CORPORATE POLICY GUIDELINES _ Ministry Initiative

COVID-19 _ CORPORATE POLICY _ DRAFT Guidelines 

MCA E-form CAR-2020

Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide a notification dated 20.03.2020, to all the Corporates including Companies and LLPs both are expected and strongly advised to put in place an immediate plan to implement “Work from Home” Policy in their headquarters and field offices..
Ø  Why “Work from Home” Policy required:

-          Maintain Social Distancing
-          To contain spread, morbidity and mortality

Ø  In case of Essential Staff on Duty:

-          Staggered timings may be followed
-          Meetings via Video Conferencing or any other digital mode
-          Follow advisory on Dos and Don’ts.


Ø  MCA has came up with a new web based form CAR (Companies Affirmation of Readiness towards COVID-19) to:

-          Generate Awareness in Corporates
-          Boost confidence
-          Readiness and Preventive measures

Ø  Due date of deployment and Filing is 23rd March, 2020.

Ø  Compliance Requirement of CAR – 2020:

All Companies and LLPs are Requested to report Compliance of this web based form. And Should be filed by an Authorized Signatory of the Companies and LLPs.


Brief about the Contents of Policy:

1.      Introduction – Brief about Policy and Purpose

2.      Scope of the Policy : applies to all of our employees

3.      Policy elements: required actions employees should take to protect themselves and their co-workers

4.      Work from home: Terms and Conditions, Like – take leave if not well, Self – isolation if returned from abroad, Keep your Children and Grand Parents safe, Care of Family etc.

5.      Sick leave arrangements:

6.      Traveling/commuting measures : All work trips and events – shall be cancelled / postponed, Digital Meetings Preferred, Avoid Public Transport.

7.      Board Meetings of the Company: Via Video Conferencing / other Digital mode by duly ensuring compliance of rule 3 of the said rules. Till 30.06.2020

8.      General rules: (like)
I)                   operate with only 50% of the staff capacity on alternate days whenever required
II)                Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
III)             use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.
IV)              Wear a face mask when you are around other people.
V)                Open the windows regularly to ensure open ventilation.
VI)              Avoid social activities such as going to pubs, restaurants, theatres and cinemas
VII)           No visitors are allowed in the organization unless in case of urgency.
VIII)         Avoid public transport as far as possible

And many more as required.
