1. sebi has issued Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Third Amendment) Rules, 2017 

(Applicable w.e.f., July 03, 2017)

In  the  Securities  Contracts  (Regulation)  Rules,  1957,  in  rule  19A,  in  sub-rule  (1),  in  the  proviso,  for  the  words “three years” the words “four years” shall be substituted.

2. Extension of date for submitting comments on the Consultation paper on Amendments/Clarifications to the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 issued on June 22, 2017

SEBI issued Consultation Paper proposing Amendments/Clarifications to the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 on June 22, 2017 and public comments were sought till July 14, 2017. Based on the representations received from various bodies/associations etc., seeking extension of the timeline to furnish the comments/suggestions, it has been decided to grant time till July 31, 2017 for submitting the comments on the aforesaid consultation paper.

3. SEBI has issued Guidelines for issuance of ODIs, with derivative as underlying, by the ODI issuing FPIs

In  terms  of  the  SEBI  (Foreign  Portfolio  Investors)  Regulation,  2014  (FPI  Regulations)  and circulars  issued  from  time  to  time  regarding  ODI, the  Foreign  Portfolio  Investors  (FPIs) issuing  ODIs  (hereinafter  referred  to  as  ODI  Issuers)  are  required  to  comply  with  the conditions for issuance of ODIs.
