CBEC – Updates:

2.Two new Directorates have been created by CBEC i.e, Directorate of International Customs and Director General of Analytics and Risk Management (DGRAM).

I. Creation of Directorate of International Customs :

It has been decided with the approval of the Competent Authority to constitute a new Directorate, namely the Directorate of International Customs (DIC), with its headquarters at Delhi, will be headed by a Principal Commissioner and will report to the Chairman, CBEC, through the members (Custom) CBEC.

Shall become operational w.e.f 1^st  July, 2017.

II. Creation of DGARM

It has been decided with the approval of the Competent Authority to constitute a new Directorate, namely, DIRECTOR GENERAL OF ANALYTICS AND RISK MANAGEMENT (DGRAM). The DGRAM will be an attached office of the Central Board of Excise and Customs (to be renamed as Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) and will report to Chairman, CBEC through Member (Investigation).

Shall become operational w.e.f 1^st  July, 2017.
